Adblock is OK, but it opens you up to viruses, and it's not reliable on a smartphone either. As mentioned, a subscription would better, but that would mean paid moderators etc. We sometimes forget the time these people give for free. Static ads would be fine, it's all the video and sound that are slowing it down seriously.
