I can be a bit critical simply cos I know he can play a lot better. He played very well week before against London and the team played a lot better as well. Against London they got the ball out early to big Menzie and he caused lots of problems, can't remember them doing much of that yesterday

He can as has been said be a bit of a maverick, Rohan acknowledged this as a price to be paid as he can be a match winner, Toovs as a coach is more of a tougher task master and would expect a better disciplined approach and Team ethic without stiffling his creativity, an interesting plate spinning analogy, if he does return I hope he can work well within the frmework now in place!

I think playing Ethan at centre, whether the intention was to keep Yere 'quiet' or not, was a master stroke. Ethan may have missed a couple of tackles when he broke the line, but even then he was near enough to disrupt the play, so mission accomplished. His defence in general against Yere was almost Scott Naylor like and I can't give higher praise than that. So, not so much that your lad didn't have a good game Roger, more that it was wasted when the man he passed to was closed down.

Chisholm is a SL quality halfback and if we can do a reasonable deal, we'd be mad not to. What a great signing from young Keyes' perspective too. Amazing if this comes off.

Ethan was a centre originally IIRC. He did well against Yere on Sunday as Bulliac said. Even though he flew out of the line sometimes and got knocked off he did enough to stop the threat each time.
Slightly more concerning was Oakes and Caro's partnership. A few times when we were rocking Oakes's opposite number just ran past him without a finger being laid on him.

And more often than not, Caro wandered inside leaving Blackmore totally open on his wing. Caro's positioning on the wing is bloody awful too often.

I think it was Jake Spedding (on loan from Saints?) TBF i think he would have skinned most people, the guy was lightening. Oakes hasn't let anyone down defensively so i'll count it as a one off.
