Thought Fash, Manu (again) and Watts did OK but not much elsewhere. They were strong and played well. Sneyd needs to improve and stop kicking the ball so much early in the tackle count. He is unable to create anything out of his hands

First of all I thought Salford where good, didn't make an error in the first half, bullied us and we're clinical. Hewer is terrible, too many pens for both sides, reffed us twice and 5 sin bind says it all.

As for us that was poor, our worst performance in 3 seasons, defence first half was appalling, agree with above, Sneyd has to stop kicking so early, the quality of our fringe players worry me, I can take that performance if we bounce back next week.

I know we had players out but that performance and score line isn't good enough.

We dust ourselfs down and go again next week

Pretty much how I saw it. Salford's first half completion and execution excellent, our discipline and defence the exact opposite. We'll be better with Kelly back but not sure who out of the others will be back so could be a long old Easter period. A performance as poor as I've seen for getting on for a couple of years. Hmm..

Thought mini ran his blood to water especially in second half.

Errors allover the shop. Shaul needs some pressure on his spot, and for a hooker Litten could do with learning to pass it somewhere above the receivers knees.

Was that team beaten before they took to the pitch?
seriously come on
10 tries !!!!!! Yes 10

The best D in the Comp allows 10 tries at home

You have got to be kidding me

They were beaten before the whistle blew and anyone who argues otherwise is self deluding

Bigger question is Why

Why can a team be beaten before the whistle blows

Answers on back of a postcard please

I have lost interest

I spoke to a players (he has two players at Hull) dad last night, he said that Green shouldn't have played and was jabbed up, Ellis and Taylor should be back next week, also Houghton is very close and has a very good chance of playing next week.

He also said the academy set up was a shambles, which is interesting as one of his sons went through the old Hull academy and his other one is in the current one.

The only word I can think of to describe last night is pathetic and that doesn't even go near to conveying how bad that first half was. Injuries have an effect but it doesn't stop experienced players from passing, catching and tackling. Far too many not putting in an acceptable level of effort and performance last night which really seems a continuation of the last 2 games.

The number of missed tackles and unforced errors with ball in hand is shocking and makes you wonder what the hell we're doing during the week in training. I thought salford did well and took advantage of a truly awful performance but any side in SL would have beaten us comfortably last night. The way the defence capitulated it looks like we were almost beaten before we left the dressing room.

We've flattered to deceive this year IMO and that was our first game against a team at full strength and in form. We're a long way from contenders for anything unless something drastic happens.

There's no surprise there really. Getting into bed with rovers over the academy was a big mistake.

Surely it's not the kids but the coaches
I once helped out as a coach for the Academy
Just not enough intensity or focus on core skills
By the time they're 14 they should be doing 8-10 two hour sessions a week on skills etc
