14-all draw at home to an incredibly weak Huddersfield team.

Anyone at the game want to shed any light on it?

For me, this is as bad as it gets. When I seen the hudds team on paper I havd to say it's one of the worst super league teams I've seen. It's a team full of unknown names and we couldn't beat them even though we was 14-0 up at one point. Any decent team would have run away with it when we scored the 3 quick trys.

We looked flat, disinterested, short of ideas and basically one hell of a boring poor team. I said give KC until easter and I expect to heavy losses coming so it's time we looked at new coach for post easter.

A bit like the Wakefield game, but waved the white flag when we were 14-0 up and played dumb rugby for 70 mins out of the 80. Sorry to say but Lomax for me is finished far too slow returning the ball and seems to have a bit of a nap when he plays the ball. Watched how much quality ball Morgan got, it was about 3 passes because LMS was cutting inside away from Morgan about 90% of the time which starved Makinson as well whose involvement was dummy runs from the PTB. Too many dropped passes in the final 20 metres, bad executions, bad composure etc. etc.
.
Thought ref was a bit crap allowed everything to slow right down which helped the Giants play a spoiling game and made Saints the most boring team in Superleague.
.
We've been knocking Wilkin, but when he went off we looked and played worse.

for 25 minutes of the first half it was one man hit ups and a kick. We then scored three really good trys.
Fages second was an absolute belter. Needs to be seen on youtube.

Second half was a case of Saints going through the motions against a Hudds team offering nothing.
The key was Saints subbed Wilkin and Tommy Lee. With these players off, Hudds saw their chance, they got a bit of field position and exploited a couple of errors from Saints players to score trys.

Our attack was again woefully one sided, We are dangerous down the left, but the right side may as well not exist.
Its not Morgans fault or Makinson, the ball just isnt getting to them. Whether its LMS or Peyroux both players step inside and kill any right side shift play. They are clearly not right sided players.

For me LMS is at his best through the middle as a 3rd prop bursting onto the ball against a retreating defence. His speed, size and mobility can then cause big problems. I would move Wilkin out to the right second row as this should allow the ball to get to the centres on the right.

Failing that we need to look for a genuine right sided back rower either from the youth setup or from elsewhere

Peyroux sadly for him just is struggling to cut the mustard.

For once I agree with some things you say. We 100% went worse when Wilkin went off. We certainly lacked all direction and leadership when he went off.

LMS does come inside to much. It's stopping any ball getting to Morgan. He's killing us on that side with his poor lines he runs and I agree, we have to play him 13 as a 3rd prop or off the bench. We have no balance on the right edge and imo Wilkin would be better there.

I'm in shock we didn't go for drop goal on that last set. We've brought Matty Smith in for to be dropping goals and for the first time in the game we tried to play expansive rugby when a drop goal wouid win it.

Matty Smith and Wilkin were lined up for the drop, unfortunately the pass from dummy half was so woeful that they had not time to put a kick in and were forced to pass it. Comes from not playing a hooker at hooker.

We had like 6 tackles to get a drop goal in and that comes down to poor game management. I'm not going to get on Matty smith back as it's only his 3rd game this year but game management is his job and he says he's good at it.

The end of the day we don't a quality team these days and unfortunately we ain't very well coached and imo we've found our level now as a team that will only fight to be in top 8. The top 4 is gone now imo as we just ain't good enough but jesus we could put a insomniac to sleep.

Do we reckon Saints will have the balls to sack him?

Was thinking the same thing this morning, LMS and Morgan are like 2 ends of a magnet and repel each other when they get close (LMS that is). Besides Wilkin running the right channel I would have Matty working a bit more on that side with Fages bias to the other.
LMS to be a running loose forward he doesn't have the intelligence to do anything else, he did some strong hit ups in the first half but like the rest of the team in the second half they put the cue on the rack.
