Interesting that it looks like Owens has been left out (Fleming, Knowles and Lomax in). While Owens wouldn't be in a threequarters line-up which names itself - Lomax, Makinson, Morgan, Percival, Swift - it seems slightly harsh even to me that he's out of the squad altogether to be replaced (presumably) by Fleming.

I'd have no issue with Fleming in for Owens. We need some speed vs Salford and I'm sure Fleming has more pace than Owens. It's not like Owens will be at Saints for the long haul is it.
Phil Bentham scoured the video tape and despite conclusive evidence that Smith was a half yard offside, he allowed the try to stand. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Saints are a big-game team with bags of big-game experience. They have won five Challenge Cups from six final appearances in the Super League era and have won five Grand Finals in that time too.
Add two World Club Championships to that and you have the roll-call of the best rugby league team this country has produced in the modern-era - and it's a phenomenal record. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ancient & Royal wrote....

I've been critical of Ryan Morgan this year and tonight just confirms that he is poor. He's petrified of taking the ball in unless in open space. Getting caught by Flash is just embarrassing.
As I predicted last year about LMS. Soon as he gets his new contract we won't see him again. He's had 2 good seasons at Saints and both in his last year of his contract

I hate to spoil the surprise but Smith is not the saviour.

Agree about the pace but it would help if they gave him the ball a little more when in good positions
