Wigan look to me to be on the brink of heavy dominance again - superb academy, big resources and therefore able to leverage salary cap increases - any player would be interested. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than work for Shaun Wane personally but I'm not a RL player and he's effective.
Another rumour is that Danny Brough is out of Huddersfield and has many suitors, including some not that far away..
I see what you mean,I just thought/hoped that the club would have had a future deal in place,in the clubs favour, running alongside of this deal if things worked out.

I'm loving Abert's performances so far; he's creative, unpredictable, looks to be in great shape and punches above his weight in defence.
I think we have to give Motu and Radders some credit on contract management here. I don't know any detail of Albo's contract but can imagine the kind conditions that might be in it based on his behaviour at other clubs. There's plenty of talk on this forum about him going to other clubs but why would he want to leave Hull FC ? It's not like he could say he'd go somewhere else to challenge for silverware. So there's no reason at all (apart from the cap of course) that he couldn't be offered an enhanced contract but still tied to whatever terms are in his existing deal.
I know he started like a train at Rovers but I think my performances might have starting slipping once I'd realised what I'd let myself in for at Craven Park. But with us getting the cup last year, being in the race until the very end of the season and looking tidy for this season, what would be the point of going to another SL club.

Money possibly? One thing to remember is our cap space will probably be getting eaten up with renewal upgrades as players such as Houghton, Watts and Shaul see their stock increase. There's a scenario here of course where Kelly is grateful to Motu, Radford and Hatton for giving him the opportunity, is enjoying life and settled and we agree an extension, but there's a balance to be had - 4 swallows don't make a summer reliabilitywise so given their form we should probably trust the coaching staff to make the right call.

possibility the cap will rise for next season so money could be available

Maybe not but 4 swallows certainly makes your weekend . Kelly has shown more in his four games than lots of other half back solutions have in their entire Hull careers (almost at least !).
I know money is always a consideration but that is what I was alluding to with Radders and Motu's nouse WRT contracts. But money isn't everything even if you're earning career is short. Was he on great money at Rovers ? Look how well that worked out.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is Ellis's last season and I don't think Micheals will get another contract. That would free up a chunk of the cap. With Micheals it's not his ability it's the fact that Naughton will be back and hopefully Logan will be fit and back to the form that was rewarded with a starting jersey last season.
As you say we should trust Radford to make the right decision.

Rude
I know what you mean, and like you think we've got good recent form on doing deals. With cap rules being clarified shortly, pre May, and our track record for getting business done early I'd expect us to know either way on Kelly in the next couple of months. For sure there'll be interest - there's such a lack of quality halves generally that it makes it more important than ever to be in the game early.
