I thought Green was great. Last year our middle spell could be wobbly but last night the interchanges of Green, Ellis and Washy made us look solid and tidy.

Things got a bit weird when Kelly went off and Ellis was swapping sides, Washy at centre and Connor on, but we had the game won by then.

Agree about griffins defence although thought he showed what a handful he can be in attack last night. Hopefully yeamo can help his defence improve. Makes you relise just how good yeamos technique was when you see Griffin sometimes struggle to put man down.

Kelly is the best half back we have had at the club for years and my constant mithering as you put it about the fact we needed a specialist 6 is proving to be correct.
What i said in my post was teams will target Kelly because its where all our danger comes from at the moment.
Without Kelly against Catalan we were poor.
He was our only real attacking danger against St Helens
When he went off last night we did nothing.
Thats what i mean when i said its a worry when one player can be so influential to our performance that teams will undoubtedly target him.

I am really hurt by the criticism i receive on here from some posters like ccs so i dare not criticise Griffin whos overall play in his early days with the club has flattered to deceive but he is defensively weak for such a big player.
If you watch his attempt to tackle Heremaia it was not just poor it was pathetic
