From that isolated article I don't think he is saying Hull FC shouldn't be able to use the KCOM, just more sensible scheduling should be considered. He might even accept that the argument cuts both ways, Hull FC as a Professional Sports Business should not be playing on a pitch with less than 24 hours recovery time as well.

The situation clearly arose because of Sky scheduling. Take the Sky money away from both RL and football and both codes are shafted. Mr Silva needs to understand that the filthy lucre will always come off best - and it's also the reason why his salary is substantially more than at Olympiakos. Get over it son.

To be fair to Silva, and in no way condoning his quote, but our game would have been better played after theirs. We give them back the stadium after our season ends in 100% perfect condition, we have the mid summer break of a clear month when the pitch gets revamped and we suffer ie heavily sanded etc. The pitch on saturday was`nt bad at all and as earlier quoted the older players would have loved to have played on that surface week after week. A bit of a cheeky swipe by the Beeb.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and proudly proclaiming `Wow, what a ride`
He might have been misquoted by the BBC but the thing that angers me is the fact that we had to play on a pitch that resembled Bridlington beach last year in the CC quarter final against Catalans and the mess of the pitch we played on after one of Allam's squash tournaments. It worries me a little with what happened with Wigan. Warriors told 2 matches can't, shouldn't be played on consecutive days due to bad weather and Wigan Athletic should take priority due to their season and league position. Then before kick off they water the pitch!? Surely there is enough time to schedule to make sure this can be avoided. But then again City reserves playing and a meaningless friendly don't help the pitch either. But I feel City will always get priority due to Rugby League been seen as a minority sport!

Allam is ripping all the cash out the club. He's even sold the tv money for next season and took a mortgage out on the training ground. He won't be buying Hull FC out of anything.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

I listened to the interview on the radio this morning. Silva simply states that the pitch was not good enough. He never references Hull FC or rugby for that matter. Even when pressed by David Burns he doesn't say anything rugby related.
This was a very poor piece of journalistic shoite stirring aimed at causing controversy when there was nothing in it.
As earlier pointed out, if the grounds staff had there heads switched on, they would not have been watering the pitch prior top the Hull FC game and would have had the heavy rollers on it immediately after our game had finished.
I understand that Hull City should have priority during the back end of their season as we should have priority at the end of ours. The fixture planners at both the RFL and PL could easily work around these issues.
