I've seen Cas play some wonderful off-the-cuff football in the past and I've seen Cas play some fabulous structured football in recent times too, and I think we do both better now than any team currently in Superleague But what really blows me away about this Castleford team is how seemless our transition is from one to the other. We make a break and get tackled short, next play Massey or Jesse run on to the ball from deep and get tackled short and you think that was a missed opportunity but no............behind that low percentage play we are just getting organised to transition into a structured attack. Quick accurate ball from bummy half and it's on! The defence see what's coming and fan out, they know Hardaker is going to link up to create overlap but he's coming from behind Gale so they can't see him anymore than Luke can and if they anticipate where Zak will be and turn their hips inwards then the ball goes to Webster and if the winger comes in to stop Webster it's quick hands to Minikin and if Leeds are corner flagging Minikin steps inside and if they grab a hold of Minikin he offloads to... lol... to McMeeken. How DO YOU defend against that?
Reading other fans on forums, yes Leeds are Gash yes they have injurys yes Cas have played well the last 3 seasons and won nothing yes you need strengh in depth yes when it really matters against top teams in top form and it's all or nothing it's intensive defence and good game management and experiance at the highest level that wins, but I don't think any of that matters.
Cas are going against the meta and could really be on to something here , the quality football we play the way we transition I think a lot of teams coming up against Cas to grind a win are going to go into the second half playing catch up football.
Blocked list galliant - When Gutterfax stands alone in a thread out comes his alt account to make it look like he's got support. Gutterfax - Yawnion patronising Troll Lebron James - yet another Yawnion patronising Troll, born watching the wrong sport he knows his beloved yawnion is 100 behind League so tries to talk Yawnion up and league down.
Now that the dust has settled, I thought and come and offer my congrats.
Wow, did Cas play well last week against Leeds. Yes, Leeds were way off and have been for ages, but Powell has created a wonderfully drilled side and, in much the same way that Graham Murray got the best out of his Leeds players in 1999 (Powell was one of them), he's turning former also-rans into RL stars.
I'm delighted for the club and very, very jealous.
Cas are a pleasure to watch, being a Saints fan i don't want to see you win on Monday but overall i do hope you win some silverware this season and that other coaches can see you can play attractive rugby and win things.

I agree with that, but I'll guarantee one thing - we will still be playing a style of rugby that people want to watch. Whether we win anything or not this year, our fans get value for money entertainment wise

I'm not sure supporters of multi trophy winning (and incredibly boring to watch )Wigan would agree with your comments.
And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off. To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

That incredibly boring team scored 8 tries today against a side in good form lately. Oh, and all but one of those tries were scored by the very young three-quarters.

The game is about results, and Cas just play rugby , same as every other team in the league. Time you stopped slagging other teams off, Cas have lost any "class" in terms if fans behaviour. Such a shame.
