Livett looks like he's itching to get a run at centre. His versatility would be useful too.
No disrespect to Evans but after a performance like that it would only be fair to drop him and let Livett have his chance. I think even Savelio at right centre would be moe effective.
Yes, that must surely be the end of Rhys Evans at the HJ when his contract expires this year. Watching in the South last night I saw Livett racing up the right channel and draw his man perfectly, before passing to Evans to put him in quite a bit of space. Evans made decent ground before being tackled, but in stark contrast to Livett he seemed to have his eyes fixed to the ground as he picked up speed rather than looking around for support. You couldn't hope to see a clearer example of what a centre should be doing and you just felt that here were two players going in opposite directions at the club.

If Evans plays next week then he is clearly un-droppable. Rank against Catalans and Castleford.
Evans, plenty of heart but absolutely no rugby brain. Nowhere near good enough. Commentators saying Russell is usually reliable under the bomb, eh?? About as useful as a chocolate graham steadman . Russell is fantastic at returning the ball and that's it. When we have lots of go forward he will look quality but his overall game is weak. My ideal back line would have lineham and atkins on the wings with 2 decent centres brought in.
The best way to predict the future is to create it...

Basically, they're laughable.
Russell. A fullback with an allergy to catching a ball, and not to clever defensively. As a winger, all he does is take early drives/darts. To be fair, he took his try v Brisbane's, well. If another club becomes interested, get rid, tout de suite.
Evans. No where near "our level" where we need him to be. His defence is not as good as we're made to believe. Without upsetting the swear filter, his attacking options are pooh. Looked promising 5 years ago. Sadly, too many visits to BUPA, and a massive let down in terms of potential.
Atkins and Lineham. They both mirror each other. On their days, have the potential to be DEVASTATING. Sadly, their days, are a "once in a month of Sunday's". Their application MUST improve.
Ratchford and Penny are needed urgently. The both have issues (who doesn't), but they need to be playing, instead of the two incumbents on our RHS. Anything is better than those two.
Again, the blame for this lays firmly at the door of Smith. His attitude to our 3/4 line, is "make do and mend". Just think, if anything happens to the 6 I've mentioned (and Toby King), what's our option. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you (somebody take him, please) Matty Blythe. You see what I mean. Make do and mend.
Smith's fault. As I've said for a few years, his recruitment is poor. Gary Wheeler, anyone?

Atkins and Lineham are not the most pressing of issues. Evans and Russell are. But you are spot on - make do an mend.
LOL didn't Eden do a "Russell" according to Tony Smith ?
