Kelly basically knocked adhurst out with an arm to the face (in front of the ref) causing him to lose the ball and go off with bad concussion. Ref allowed play on and hull got a penalty. That was a shocking miss from the ref only metres from it. There's a slow motion highlights showing first contact square with Ashursts face. This is not up for debate and led to the winning try.
It's all over and fair do's both teams earned something from that but to lose off the back of a player being concussed with a head shot is pretty bitter pill to swallow. Along with the questionable offsides for your last try. One of which was stood in front of bjb waiting for the kick almost as soon as snyd kicked it.
I don't begrudge hull the win at all btw. Whoever won it was hard earned. The decisive try coming from not a small but a massive referee error in front of his face is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow that's all and is just the wakey luck.
I don't like to see this creeping in at the ptb either and hopefully it's stamped out.
Probably a good tough game which will put both teams on a good track for the coming games.
And it continues, how do you know that Kelly high tackle cost you the game, there was 15 mins left, anything could have happened, unless you can see into the future, grix elbowed Griffin in front of the touch judge, Wakey got the pen, this along with a few other dubious calls, but you weren't good to to take advantage, you could have still stopped the try.
The moaning and bias from you and fans is laughable, the latest are Kelly was offside all game and every ( yes every) tackle he did was head high.
You need to except it and move on that you lost fair and square and wasn't quite good enough on the day, you should do well this year and on another day you might have won, if you had been a bit smarter.
kelly in the frame for the brinks matt and hatton garden thefts along with being a strong suspect in the jack the ripper case according to the wakey board.
Apparently he's going to lose us plenty of games but at least he got us off to a good start when ensuring a win by pole axing ashurst

Give over - the majority of Wakey supporters accept the result, admit it was a hard fought game in front of a decent crowd (for the weather) and that FC brought great away support. For me the better team won, FC were slightly better than us so the scoreline is probably about right.
We do have some moaners I accept (some real moaning threads on our board at the min!) but overall most are ok (Jake the Peg has never liked us anyway )

If you bother to read my post you'll see that I point out it led to the decisive try (which it did) not that it was responsible for the loss. I'm staying a fact not whinging although disappointed.
And what a silly comment, I know there was 15 mins or so left and anything could've happened but what did happen which shouldn't was what did lead to the winning points so what exactly am I supposed to comment on?
Maybe instead of making mindless comments about other fans moaning ****s as you do elegantly put it, you should grow up and try contributing something yourself.

If you bother to reread your post, you'll see that you swallowed the bitter pill twice, maybe not so bitter if you go back for second helpings. Talking of headshots, think Wakey were penalised considerably more for them than FC? It was a good old fashioned Rugby League game played in good old fashioned Rugby League weather in a poor old fashioned Rugby League stadium. Week end off and I'm positive Ashurst will recover in time for your next game. Try to be positive and you'll go ok this season.
Sorry Dave didn't see your post. There's always a few supporters that say things like offside all game etc out of bitterness. I'm not one of them few. Fact both teams were offside a lot and even more both teams not square sometimes stood metres apart.
Every tackle Kelly did wasn't high but the one he got away with proved to be decisive as from that possession hull went and scored the winning points. Guess it just shows yet more failure from the officials more than anything and another team will benefit once the MRP are done.
I didn't see an elbow from Grix at the game but equally I didn't see the punch on miller. It's swings and roundabouts really and bjb should have taken that ball on the line, I was shocked that he didn't catch it and it appeared he went to bat it which was strange as he was in a good position to go for the catch.
I'm not bitter about losing. Rather be on winning side but it was a good game and very tough on the players out there. Mostly positives for both teams i think especially in the forwards. Hull are a quality side, to match them across the field was good even despite the weather having its effects as a leveller. The defence from both teams at stages was pretty brutal too which was good to see.

Found the quote button lol. This helps .
I haven't checked penalty count so you may be right and I can't really answer that without going through the game again. I'm not disagreeing with what your saying. I'm saying the same things, it was a good game well worth the money. The players will recover and I'm still as positive as I was before the game. Think we have the squad to get between 6-8th and fingers crossed we can do it.
Btw can you leave Ellis out of the team next time.
Good luck with your season. Should be set for a good one again.
