realistically would be a miracle if Ellis at 35 can give us another full season as good as last one. his body must be showing signs of wear with the way he plays regardless of how well he looks after himself. this year we need one of the younger lads to step up in preparation for next season without ellis and maybe mini as top back row in SL . masse , hadley or turgut or an.other needs to plug gaps this season.

It's the authority that Ellis brings. We were bang average at times when he did not play last season and unfortunately, albeit friendlies, it's showing agai. As well as The Tank leaving we may well look unfocused at times and as others have strengthened we cannot afford a sloppy start to the season. Which I'm afraid may well be on the cards.

We had a sloppy start last season really, didn't we, 4 points from the first 10? I'd try not to stress about it unduly.

no doubt we are better when ellis is on the pitch, but lets see where we are after 6 matches, am sure Radford knows the situation with ellis and mini and wouldn't be surprised to see a big name 2nd rower lined up for next year, we have Hadley and turget who imo derserve a crack this year if needed, remember at the end of last season ellis and mini where properly the best 2nd row in the comp so lets just see how they go this year,
