moon was tried at 6 last year in a couple of games and was awful. he's a quality centre. leave him there. I also like sutty as a 13, but I would like to see ward there too

He was tried in one game, and the team responded better. Sutcliffe has had what? 60 games there? And still awful. This is a friendly where we need all options and scenarios tried. Give it a go.

Moon was tried at half back in the NRL and was found wanting - hence his move to the centres - why re-discover what has already be unearthed. Pointless IMO.
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

1st of all when did he play 60 games at SO? He's moved around between 6 BR C & FB since he broke through. Last year he played the 1st 3/4mths without an injury re-hab & virtually no pre-season either behind a battred rudderless pack. Also when he has played 6 he wasn't awful in every one either you'd think he was the worse player in SL the way some have a go at him. Moon is a better Centre than a 6 that's a given imo plus Sutty has had good games at 6 he just needs a sustained injury free run there with a cinsistent partner at 7 & a regular 9. The Coaches need to male a call on his position & keep him there preferably at 6 or 13.

I don't see the value of moon at 6 as he's not exactly known for creating space for his wing let alone providing structure from stand off. Sutcliffe though isn't showing any signs of bringing that to role either, great carrier of the ball and could well end up as a back row or centre. Interesting to hear mcdermotts comments about needing to make the shirt his own (sounded like he's not happy that he is at the minute). Big decisions to make for the club going forwards considering the spine of the team.
Personally I'd look for a half to partner Lilley for the long term future and have ward/Sutcliffe somewhere in the back row.

He has played 90 games. Can't have played more than 20 at fullback, and he hasn't really played back row at all. I was been generous when I said 60, but it was a guess.
I agree Moon is a better centre, but he also likely a better stand off than Sutcliffe. Unless there's another option? Because the friendly is where it should be tried.
Whatever the outcome, two or three years down the line, Sutcliffe will be a centre in the game.

Tbf that's the NRL when he was around 21. SL with several more years of experience and couple of hundred games under him is a different thing.
