As others have said its what you want to hear from the coach going into a new season...we are Leeds, we should be aiming for the top. He has set the gauntlet now though... we will soon see if his squad is good enough to follow up the big words with actions. If not, the free Ammo has been provided for those that Mac ultimately has to answer to.

As per usual on here someone has managed to find a way to moan about something McDermott said that there really wasn't anything wrong with.
I'm glad that the team and coach sound confident that they can bounce right back up towards the very top of the table. If they were coming out saying they were aiming to avoid the Middle 8's and hopeful of pushing for a top 4 spot then be critical because that's setting the bar too low.
McDermott sat the team down before the 2015 season and they talked about doing the treble, he would've been ridiculed for doing that also at that time I'm sure.
"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection."
If you actually watch his press conference he said the seasons goal is to win A trophy, which should be the minimum goal of any Leeds coach tbh
Of course he wants to win everything, so do Wigan Saints Hull Wire etc.
Im no fan of Mac but it is a lot better to hear these sorts of statements from inside the camp than the excuses we heard last year, which is something I thought he would do given we already have a few injuries and with the whole Segeyaro thing
