Kelly just came from behind the dummy runner to link with Sneyd I thought..Didn't see enough there to pick up the set up. I've a feeling they will tinker the attack to not try making Shaul something he's not and play to his strengths so could be a change in how we form up. Only noted tho really that Fonua on wing again. Think connor done some at 6 on this camp though. Said he looked impressive in the report from yesterday

Agree with this and good to have options. Not long since we were lining up with Joe Arundel and Jason Crookes, we've come a long way to say we've now got 2 Dream Teamers and the Lance Todd trophy winner in our 1-7.

Players like that in our line up (arundel is better now tbf) and our possible line up this year feel like 10yrs apart..Not the mere few they are

Yeah, that's sort of what I meant. Halves were Horne right at the end of his career and Miller at about 21(?) had the 7 shirt. Radford and Tony certainly seem to be driving better value from a full cap spend than Gentle and McRae managed to.

Did you see last week were Denny solomona at cas was on 49 k this yr rising to 70 in 2019 Arundel was on 40k 1st year. If he'd seen contract out he'd of been on 100k. That's the ridiculousness of the monies we were throwing out The squad now to 2012/13 isn't comparable yet cap wise the same. How any1 can defend gentle n mcrae is beyond me

Tuson had the 11 shirt I think. Now the back row is Minichiello, Manu, Ellis. I'm sure there are counter arguments - when I think about it we also had 2 Dream teamers back then in Crooks and Lineham - but it feels like we're in a much better place. with quality ratcheted up in all areas of the squad and some real team spirit and resolve. On that note I think I'm going to watch back the Wigan semi final.
