I was under the impression a deal was eventually reached whereby YCCC would pay back some but not all of the loan. I can't remember where I got that from just my memory of that situation.

Yep they agreed 6m iirc i was actually in that meeting with other parents trying to save my eldests Primary School & watching them guffaw & pat each others backs over both decisions left a very bad taste bunch of w#@$ers.

Regardless of whether Sal's trolling, the council will definitely come in for flak if they're perceived as having money to burn on sport but insufficient to spend on care for the elderly, say. I don't see them underwriting anything like the level of cost that's been mentioned tbh.
