We only looked half decent with Segeyaro in the team. Without him we are a bottom half club.

Yes we still have talent in Hall, Watkins, Briscoe etc.. but if we have no one organising or able to kick we have no chance.

Don't think the forwards were too bad. Mullaly and Ormndroyd ran hard when they came on.

Ablett, needs to never play centre again, and that God we have a 9 on the way. Again we looked devoid of ideas which is a worry.

Has anyone else noticed that Golding gets involved in a lot of tackles, a lot that he has no need to get involved in. Lost count of the amount of times he was disentangling himself late in the tackle count when he really should have been positioning himself and others. Hopefully this can be coached out of him.

Leeds were poor..lacked organisation, composure and leadership. Your hooker giving a penalty away unnecessarily whilst in possession on Trinity try line in 2nd half having a go at Allgood was absolute school boy stuff....you've several players to come in but have shown you have no strength in depth. Looks like some dead wood needs clearing out.

Trinity also have Miller,Fifita,Caton-Brown,Jowitt,Gibson and Molloy missing but were strong defensively and should have scored at least 3 more tries which they bombed. Some promising stuff though and Johnstone,Hirst and Kirmond were outstanding.

Twitter feed of forum member who hasn't appeared here for a while (can't think why)...

12 minutes that sum up 2016 Leeds
All the field position. No idea. Concede soft try.

And again.
Going to be a long 2017 season.

On this evidence there's no point sending Aston on dual reg.
He won't get in Featherstone's team.

Dire, uninspiring garbage.
And I'm being kind. #McDermottOut

Hope nobody is sending Matt Parcell the video of this, he'll cancel his flight.

Those Leeds fans too young to remember the dark days of the early 80s, you're in for a treat.

F*** this, I'm off home. Waste of £18

I've paid to see worse Leeds teams than this, when I was younger and dumber. Thought I had more sense these days

How much transfer fee did GH get in the end? Was it that £300k he said the asking price was?

Classic. Meanwhile we're spaffing money on a half-back we don't need to stop Sheffield from going under.

He likes his "undisclosed" does Gary. Hides his embarrassment.

You'd have to ask him.

Possible reasons? Leeds were awful last season, he lost his passion and couldn't be @rsed. He wanted to be critical of the team but concluded this forum had become too intolerant so he'd post his opinion elsewhere instead.

Me and daughter went to game today with more hope than expectation.sadly it was dejavu same mistakes as last season same missed tackles, lack of support play no organization in attack nieve defending at times, where do we go from here? As has been said hope GH does'nt send a dvd to our new hooker else we will be well and truly stuffed

Apparently, having been asked to put a strong squad out to give us a decent workout, the Wakefield management weren't too pleased by the calibre of the squad McD put out....And who can blame them? I don't expect us to automatically win the festive challenge, its a chance to see how we're developing, try fringe players, positional changes and cover options for the inevitable injuries that will arise in the season ahead, etc etc. However, probably unreasonably, I do expect us to look like we have a clue. We were unstructured and clueless both in attack and defence and whilst excuses about the strength of the squad we fielded can be trotted out, in light of my opening comments, they don't really explain the festive shambles. Still it was nice to get out into the fresh air and sunshine at HQ, catch up with friends and have my expectation for the coming season adjusted :)
