Yet here we are, one of these mythical NRL supermen arrives to a chorus of boos and snide remarks without nay a ball been lifted in anger.
Strange that.
He did the same when Kylie Leuluai signed.

Just stop acting like a nerdy 12 year old schoolboy for once, though.

Anyone who wishes to see Gary Hetherington leave the role of Chief Exec at the Rhinos surely proves my point and that they also must be insane.
But then again you lot are a strange bunch
Got plenty of keyboard CEO's on here who if they were in charge would have us in the GF every year, have the best academy team ever known and have the stadium work all done without any problems.
One bad season in which the team started the year with one hand tied behind their backs and people are in a desperate rush to want to completely dismantle the club head to toe without waiting to see what we can do when we have a proper preseason behind us.
This thread could well be on a par with the "McDermott out" thread with being dragged up in ten months time if we have a successful season. Some posters have been so adamant and heavy in their criticism of how the club is running that they'll be left looking quite foolish if we do well this season, a trick that's happened in several previous seasons.

Good to see Loiner 81 has spoken to so many Aussie fans . I for one will wait and see how good he is but at 24 years of age he has played very few first grade games and lasted only 12 months at Manly which is a worry . but i will give him time and hope for the best .

A very balanced view.
Otherwise, one risks embarrassment of "Achurchian" proportions when relying upon internet forums and selective YouTube visitations.
At the end of the day, there's risk with signing any player. We've signed former NRL first grade regulars who haven't turned out great, some who've become legends of our club.
We've signed guys with little first grade experience who've turned out good (Leuluai, Garbutt), some who have been awful (Achurch, Vickery).
But I believe Parcell has slightly better pedigree than those two, and in terms of what I've seen and his skill set, he fits what we wanted. It also sounds like Mac did some homework talking to Chad Randall whose based at Manly, and Parcell did likewise talking to Ben Walker.
I'd say this signing is an informed gamble rather than an out and out guess.

I haven't spoken to a single one but I don't need to and guess what? Neither do you. Try browsing the Manly Facebook page, search for Matt Parcell on Twitter or go visit the Manly fans forum...
It's not rocket science this stuff.
