Sale and the RFU have the money to prolong a case. But I don't see how it can be 'allowed' that he just retires from a contract. So he's going to stop running round a grassy pitch, catching and throwing an oval shaped ball, attempting to score a try, and try his hand at a completely different sport, running round a grassy pitch, catching and throwing an oval shaped ball, attempting to score a try.... oh wait.....
I feel for Cas, and hope this is resolved properly. They've invested in this player, put a lot of work into making him as good as he is, and it's like a kick in the balls that he would do this. This case could revolutionise sport contracts.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”
Does this mean Josh Charnley can simply 'retire' and return to league if he doesn't take to union no fee's involved? Also didn't South's pay Bath for Burgess's return to league?
From a Rhinos fan in peace, hoping that you get justice in this matter. Is it possible that Cas could take out an injunction to prevent Solomona from playing until the matter is resolved in court or via some settlement acceptable to Cas.?

Maybe as a club who has lost one or two promising players to the dark side they'll think differently should some of their players "retire" only to pitch up at a union club.
Also pondered if it's worth putting in an offer for this guy who's just retired:

I've already posted my support for you on here, and I agree this looks bad, but this visit to Sale was part of a training/bonding trip which had been organised for a while. It wasn't possible to just not go.

BBC north west news had an interview with Steve Diamond on their evening programme & he clearly came out with the words that Solomona had been fired by Cas. Unbelieveable !
