For me Fitzgibbon was metronomic. Hardly mad a mistake.
He did he cost us a draw at Wrexham against crusaders when his attempt at goal hit the post we lost 18-16 & they was an awful side.

Won us a lot more, including the classic comeback against Saints

He did - in the home game against Widnes in 2012. We won 58-10 and Tickle scored four tries and kicked nine from ten goals for a match total of thirty four points - only two behind the all time club record set by Jim Kennedy in 1921. Tickle is fourth in the club's all time goal kickers chart and fifth in the all time points scorers chart. Impressive given that he was at the club during an unsuccessful time.

If you are referring to Tickle with this post, it could easily be argued that he won us the home game against Crusaders with a touchline penalty on the final hooter.
I'd never blame a kicker for missing a kick, thats generally not the reason games are lost.

Some good responses about Fitzgibbon,I personally thought he was ok,nothing startling, did a good honest job but just thought play slowed down with him at 13.Was a privilege to see a modern day legend play for us but just thought he was showing his age and career with us.If we did a overseas select,he would struggle to get in that in my team.

Was that the game that Brian Noble was kicking right off on the touchline

yeah, took a door off its hinges. Think it was first time I'd seen Childs ref us and he was truly dire, I'm sure we only actually scored 1 or 2 tries but came away with 20 points. Union-esque penalty fest where he blew everything for both sides.

I thought Sid Domic was excellent, maybe a bit past his peak when we signed him, but in terms of defence, on par with Yeamo but better with the ball, in terms of putting wingers away. Fitzgibbon was good too, but I believe from what Ive seen, that pack I've picked has better players in his position. I couldn't include O'Meley as when at his best, Carvell was awesome, it is always a difficult task to put these things on paper and I know I'll remember some players after the list is posted. I was tempted to put R Horne at fullback, where if he'd stayed I believe he'd have been an even better player, but I think his days there were pre 2006 , in that way I could have put Cooke to 6 and brought in Fitzy.
