The issue with the players isn't really their contracts, its their registration. Those registrations have (theoretical) value to the administrator.

How do you sell the registration of a player that you've broken the contract with? I get what you are saying and that normally underpins a transfer (you are buying the registration of the player) but it can't apply in the case of a broken contract.
