Is this who Suzy Banyon is hinting at in the Squad Numbers thread?
'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.' Shaun Wane's post-Grand Final speech. 5th October 2013.

Yeah. I think it's rubbish now the squad numbers have come out, but it does make some sense. NRL player on the slide quality wise, could be doing a Greg Bird and coming to get some coaching in too?
I initially heard it was a loan deal with us only paying part of his wage.

Would make sense with Mossop and Crosby going, havent heard this one before but seems plausable. Out of contract next year so its not as simple as just matching his salary, at 31 cant see NRL clubs fighting over him.
I hadn't even thought about the prospect of Adam Blair heading to Wigan, but I know his wife is planning on setting up some sort of leisure club in Manchester.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

A quick look at his twitter shows he has just bought a Manchester United shirt......
Apparently he is prepared to take a pay cut just to come to Wigan. At 31 he wants a long term deal to see out his career. He is impressed with Shaun Wane's aggressive front row policy which really suits his style.
