Naiqama? I think we need a forward to replace Frank. Outside the 17 we have little experience. We have a bunch of talented youngers but I have doubts that there are ready to play a lot of games. Due to good management and maybe a bit of luck we didn't have many injuries. Some forwards did look a bit fatigued towards the end of the season and that due to the Wembley factor could have been a factor in why we couldn't make the final. If Michaels is not retained I would look at the NRL to bring one in. With Motu's contacts I'm sure we could sign a quality prop/backrow.

If Michaels has signed a new deal and Kelly is coming there would be no quota spot avalable for anyone else

Although the quota system is beyond me, I do reckon that at no time can you exceed it.
So, as it stands at the moment, Pritchard is still on contract.
Michaels is currently without a contract, so not taking a quota space, giving us the sensible option of signing Kelly early.
When Pritchard leaves, Michaels or someone else can then take up the free slot.
Hence the delay in any announcements regarding Michaels.

... don't think so, they end at the end of October.

Salary cap "year" starts on 1st November, so I would image player contracts would also.
