Is he a risk? IMO yes ..could he be the making of us? if the Club have put the right measures in to deal with him if needed then i would go for it.He is a talent that there is no doubt ,question is why does he put his career at risk when he could be wanted list by many?

Think Wakey have Williams, Miller and Finn now, so can't see them maintaining an interest in him. Plus they've just re-signed Fifita so I presume they won't have loads of spare cash left. Think they're still after props as well. Wigan seem to have earmarked Tommy.L. as Matty Smiths replacement. Kelly doesn't seem like a Shaun Wane type of player to me. Can't see him fitting into their attacking structures. All signs seem to be pointing to us picking him up. Would be very intriguing. I do think we'd have been worked out next season, and we may have struggled in breaking teams down. Be nice to have a bit of unpredictability, as long as it's confined to the pitch! One thing that Motu and Radford have earned over the last year is our trust when it comes to recruitment and retention. I'd love to sign him, and for him to be a success, if only to increase the Dobbins pain!

Agreed. One year deal, on reduced terms, with conditional compliance clauses, and Connor and Carlos as back up. Reasonable risk mitigation for a player with much potential, pace and creativity.

Could be a game breaker, which is what we don't currently have. Fonua can change a game, but is reliant on those inside him. We can look a bit stilted at times, attacking wise, so he would add an unknown quality to our attack.

When it's put like that, it's a risk well worth taking.
So other than his shocking attitude, inconsistent performances, defensive frailties and poor injury records, he should be a good signing? Not for me but I don't make the decisions.
