Shaul isnt a pivot, so if he is our full back, we need a pivot at 13 IMO. Shame Radford doesnt see it like that

He's brought Connor in to push for the spot.

Agree with this. I think Rankin offered more there then Shaul does all round.

but then he doesnt offer the pace or off the support play that Shaul does. Catch 22 situation really

Shaul knows he has to improve on aspects of his game, his place isn't guaranteed. It's good we have competition for places.

If Shaul wants an international call up, he's gonna have to evolve into a pivot.

Don't agree, Rankin was a good pivot, but that's it compared to Shaul, who is better in all other areas. Like the poster says we either need a ball playing 13 or Shaul needs to improve his link play.

Improvements are needed with Sneyds passing, needs to develop a Cooke type pass also

we need a quality 6 and that will improve things, the ball dies with Tuimavave far too often, if shaul gets quality ball early enough he will cause teams no end of problems with his pace
