The same article reckons that David Fifita is currently with Salford, so accuracy isn't always an indicator.

Saying that, if Lui was going, Carney is a step up in class.

David is currently with Wakefield but has been in talks with Newcastle coach Nathan Brown.

Todd Carney on the other hand would be at least a level up from Lui and is the sort of signing that would have me rushing to get my season ticket in a way that Tasi never would or could.

With ref to your above with Todd Carney not being granted a visa to the UK , I understand all that, so he signed for catalans , i have no problems with that.

But why was he allowed to play in the UK as a Catalans player. ???? when he was refused a visa in the UK to play. ????????

May have been an employment issue, where his employers are etc. Maybe length of time working in uk? Unsure just remember us losing out. Good luck if you do, cracking player. Things may change with brexit too.

He was refused a visa to reside in the UK,. France granted him said visa which means he was able to play\visit the UK as a part of the EU.
