I heard he been offered a job on corporate hospitality & according to Marwen is answer to a question on twitter last night said "he had not been finished" I presume the technical term is he had been offered alternative employment.

According to the club website his current position is ambassador. I assume this is a similar privilege to that of Sir Bobby Charlton and Bryan Robson at United. Perhaps the owner thinks this position is a luxury the club can't afford and feels he has the qualities to make a more valuable contribution increasing hospitality revenue.

If this story is correct. I would find it bizarre for anyone to be given this news by text whilst away on a family holiday by any employer, let alone by one that owns a global management company. It's so bizarre I just find this text sacking story hard to believe.
