Decent squad. The only possible changes I might have considered would be to include Houghton instead of one of the halfbacks included.

I hope Gale isn't first choice as I still don't rate him as international class.Bennett will probably go with Williams and Widdop at halves,although Widdop hasn't had a good season down under.We have the forwards to beat any team so the choices in the halves/backs will be crucial.Should be some good matches though.

For me i'd go Widdop and Williams who i think is a class HB. Stick with him, let him experience test match rugby and hopefully we should have a top HB for next years WC.

Just about to watch AusvNZ.Thurston and Cronk will show us what we are up against in the halves come the 4 Nations.

There's an argument to be made that England's halves are the worst in the competition, with Thurston/Cronk for Aus, Leuluai/Johnson for NZ and Brough/Brierley for Scotland.

As it stands,I think our halves are the wealest,but Williams has great potential and Widdop can play to a high standard.Hopefully Gale won't get in as they would make mincemeat of him.
