I guess we will all say its been a great season but you can count on one hand the number of games when we have played well and not had to grind out a result.
The stand outs for me were Catalan and Saints away.
In my opinion six is the major problem and our lack of real pace a concern.Even next season Josh Griffin will add power but is similar in pace to Talanoa.
Connor is no speedster but in any case i still dont think he will come to the club.
So what do you think is missing?

A post from you with nothing in it about stand off. Seriously though, you are right about pace but the free reign that Radford suggested has definitely been withdrawn. FC try to play too structurdd a game plan, the free flowing stuff that materialised during and after Dobbins away just isn't there any more last night was crying out for it. Perhaps other posters are right when they suggest, the team gave up after Wembley. I don't think so, just the biggest hangover ever. Can't understand the Connor comment though, why do you think he won't be here next season?

Pace of the players and the pace at which we pass the ball. Both need to be addressed

Can't imagine the team has really 'given up' since Wembley.

We haven't suddenly become a bad side, sometimes it is just fine margins that make a difference.

This season, our game management has improved signifantly. A much improved kicking game, not forcing the pass when we are losing and working to a better game plan. We have also benefited from a fitter squad, to enable a strong 17 to be fielded each week and allow us to use our interchanges to good affect throughout each game.

Since Wembley, we may not have played well, but still could have won more.

Saints was a always going to be a tough ask post Wembley with a much changed team

Wigan is was game we should have won. We created, but didn't execute chances in the 60 minutes we dominated and should have put the game out of Wigan's reach.

Wakefield was a welcome victory although not a great performance. We had added pressure due to the Wigan defeat, meaning we had to win to keep us in with a shout if the LLS.

Warrington played very very against us last night and deserved to win. However, this is s game we could have still won. Another day some of the decisions (as discussed on another thread) may have gone the other way. That might have led to Penney's try being chalked off; the Mini penalty being scored; we should have scored from the Shaul break or seen Tom L binned - which normally leads to a score; with some of the above we wouldn't have had to force the final play that led to Tom Lineman's second try. I know that's ifs and maybes, but put it altogether, and this morning we could have been looking at being two games off a Treble.

But that's the game. Congratulations to Warrington for winning he league and especially clinching it after literally throwing it away last week. However, we are still more than capable of winning the Grand Final. We've beaten All the semi finalists at least twice each this season and now know how to win on the big stage in a Final.

The coaching team and players will still want to win and it would unfair to question their desire post Wembley after all they have given us this season (most of our pre-season hopes/expectations were Top 6 and a decent Cup run). Well they've already delivered that in spades and they haven't finished yet.
