well from where I was sat there first try was a forward pass, and the other big grumble was the hold down after the shaul break, I am positive that was sin binning and penalty to us, saying that no grumbles with wire winning they derserved it,

The holding down after Shaul's break was crucial. Get a quick PTB and we score and go 2 up. But we are held down and the momentum was totally lost. See today's NRL match for the perfect interpretation of that play. Many other decisions were hard to argue against. BUT it's the consistency that is the issue. After the holding down I mention there were several penalised which if he was being consistent should not have been penalised. Fanua won one in our 20 which was no where near as bad as the one he let slide.

Don't get me wrong we were dire. BUT that one crucial decision imho was a momentum changer. from 10 down we could have been 2 up after 50 mins. Who knows what could have happened after that.

shaul should have backed himself instead of passing to taylor. The prop was always going to get caught but I think shaul remembered bombing a try last week when he held on instead of passing. Also disappointing no one else was backing him up

Thought the holding down was ok, just, Taylor should have passed it straight onto Watts, only Penny in his way.

Backing up is poor again (could be fatigue) number of times players promoted the ball and no one there, Mini went mad at one point.

There is only shaul in the team with any pace, so if he makes a break nobody is going to be near him

The holding down on e Shaul break was not ok. Taylor won the collision, he was facing their line. Lineham was all over him (4 seconds) . Penalty later in the game for holding was given for just a 2 second delay. Wrong decision which should have resulted in a yellow card.

A decision which confused me was the penalty against mini for a pass off the floor. In the current game after a tackle is deemed complete if the ball carrier doesn't play the ball the ref call for the ball to be played at the spot of the tackle and not a penalty. Minis ball carrying arm touched the ground, fair enough. But why not instruct the player to play the ball?

'high tackle' by michaels which was patently not was another of his mistakes. timing of poor decions by officials very much had a bearing on the outcome despite us being pants

That's a pretty low bar to clear though.

He got a lot of big decisions wrong, and the majority went against us. Just because we were poop doesn't excuse the officials for being terrible.

That's for when the referee calls held and the player doesn't hear it or if the pass is at the same time as the call. When a player passes after he knowingly ends the tackle by his ball carrying arm hitting the ground it is a penalty.
