Tomkins was the single biggest reason wigan won the other day. Linked in and provided the pass on 1 wing. Scored a try he had no right to score and then provided a cut out try pass on the opposite wing. Wigan had this outlet as an option. No hooker on field. Smith ineffective. Shauls best fullback this year. Definitely. We've won many games this year with guts spirit and some individuals. Shaul himself sometimes. But been a few games we've lost or struggled were good structured well executed plays would have done it. He's got to add this to his game. For himself and for us. Next year is gonna by so much harder. Now we're 1 of the big boys we're gonna have to find some extras. From signings and from current squad. Few %s gonna make a difference. Shaul finds a pass in his game will help loads

If he had Rankins ability when joining the attacking line and stop getting dragged into touch so much he would no doubt be Englands full back. Im sure Jamie and the coaches are working to improve his link attack option but he is still a very good full back in my opinion

Don't think our coordination issues out wide at times are usually down to Jamie. Half backs need to be more polished and commit more defenders further in field for me.

On the subject of Shaul I think teams have seen the threat he possesses in his running early season and now defend against us a little differently to try to nulify his running. Plus apart from Sneyd we still do not have a quality pairing at 6 & 7 (don't think Sneyd & Carlos pair well personally) so agaion this makes it more difficult for Shauil to be as effective in an attacking threat as he can be.
The way you really notice as to how good Shaul is and how important he is to this team is in the games when he hasn't played. When this has happened this season we have really struggled to break teams down and score, we certainly miss his link up and running.
Defensively he is sound and attacking threat he has a plenty if we can use him fully. Yes there have been a few occasions where he should have passed to allow us to score and vice versa but he hasn't been and won't be the only one who is guilty of that.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Shaul hasnt been as affective fir the last 7-8 or weeks because as a team weve been a lot more conservative, only off loads coming out wide from fonua, and not down the middle with shaul supporting . Im not having a go, because weve done pretty dam good in that period, would like to see us been a bit more risky again, and getting shaul some ball with scattered defences. Think carlos and snyed have worked together well, and not the reason for shauls lack of attacking threat in recent weeks
