Disappointing as he certainly had an eye for teh try line but he's not a radford type of winger so was never really likely to hold down a first team spot. Can see rovers signing him and htw unless maybe lancaster is toronto bound? He must have an offer on the table if we're releasing him early

i agree its disappointing but i suppose we have to back the coaches judgement. Its obvious Radford favours big and powerful over pace.I hope he doesnt go too far as our backs for next season as it stands are hardly flyers.

Connor coming in who can cover both FB and wing.
Is it fair on Lancaster to let him wait for an opportunity which may never arise?
In a salary capped sport, its simply not possible to keep all of the potential talent if they are good enough to get some game time elsewhere.
But I remember this forum when Reece Lyne was allowed to leave, you'd have thought we'd released the next Martin Offiah. Look how he turned out.

The hype put on Reece Lyne was unbelievable, all he ever really had was pace and then I remember one of his last games (wan to say at home vs Hudds) we got battered and second rowers were outrunning him.

Or Josh Hodgson
Only time will tell. I agree with you though, he's not going to get the opportunities here, which is a shame, and it sounds as though the club won't stand in his way playing elsewhere.
Could be we're freeing up some room for a specific target.

The coaches see them every day so I'll trust them on this. Plus there's a cap. We need watts and Sneyd tying up soon and maybe another signing to happen? On lancaster his spell in 2014 was not ideal to judge him on. Most games were blow outs. Never seen him enough in the SL environment to really judge. That said without knocking him I didn't see much progress in him v wire this year. Looked unsure under high ball. Got dominted in a few challenges and made a couple of errors. Shame couldn't of seen more of him but Tala michaels and naughton have had the wing covered

Wouldnt be surprised if this is the start of a clear out of some of the under 23s to free up a bit of cash to make way as you say a specific target. the biggest loss for me is HTW. We seem to be a club that can bring on young forwards but not backs.
