I thought barring the daft sin-binning, Talanoa did alright. Won us a few penalties coming out of our own half with strong and quick wrestling in the ruck. Wakefield's tactic seemed to be to slow Hull down, and it worked. Like Jake said though, we got the two points and we can move on.
I don't believe that any professional sportsman would be happy with failure. The team has a chance of doing the double, possibly even the treble, and the players will want to succeed. We played pretty good against Wigan and got nothing, and played pretty terrible against Wakey and won. It evens out and even if we had beaten Wigan last week, we could still have found ourselves having to win next week to secure the LLS. Granted, it would have been in our hands, rather than waiting in other results.

To be honest I thought we missed Minichello massively out there am which is a slight concern. Again I'm just not convinced the CT is the answer for us at 6. Yes he is a talented player but just not creative enough with using the players around him too much individual play for me. We seemed guilty of passing at the wrong time and then not passing when the opportunity was there to score.
Just need to forget about it now we got the 2pts which was the important part. Now it's up to radford to get them back as a group and back to the game plans.
It was kind of reminiscent of the Wakey game at the start of the season following the Widnes debacle where they stuttered and spluttered (although the win margin was greater) plus wakey were in a no pressure situation.
Just think we look at totally different team when we get quick ptb and last night we were quite slow at ptb for most of the game. We also didn't have the same reaction in defence by letting wakey make easy meters by waiting for them instead of meeting them. Credit to Wakey though as they stuck to their game for the 80, Hall had a blinder and we got a slice of luck.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I know I shouldn't feel like that, but after the amazing day out at Wembley this team gave us, Im happy no matter what happens now, Im not greedy, after the last 10 years of shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite, this is brilliant
Me too partly,I really want to get to the grand final though, win or lose. As much for Financial reasons as anything else. I want Adam to get some payback and hopefully he'll invest further and set us up for a prolonged spell of challenging for the top honours. On reflection in a months time it'll be hugely disappointing if we let this opportunity pass by though and i think it'd send out the message that we're bottlers and unable to challenge when the going gets tough,we need to get the fear factor back and batter teams into submission. I'm hoping last night was a mix of complacency, nerves and the back end of the challenge cup disruption and throw all that in with some dubious refereeing and playing a team with nothing to lose then i think the performance can be excused,as long as we kick on now it'll be forgotten.

A wins a win. Back in that winning circle now and can move forwarD. Wigan we were a little off which was prob caused by large scale changes week b4 and all the wembley hangover etc. But really not hard to have seen a win. Saints game I don't register either way We're still better off than leeds this time last yeat and they were dominant Seen enough of hulls character this year not to be worried. If wigan are to do us a favour later I've no worries that we'll come in as hard strong and performance wise to give us every chance like all year
Ps I don't get all this 'what ever happens I'll be happy' if we only win cup After the season we've had and the work gone in it'll be disapponting tbh. Glad the players ain't thinking in such a way

Are really being serious? Think Talanoa won three pens coming off our line yesterday fighting for fast plays and took 3 defenders everytime he carried Last year this time he was playing centre getting his hands dirty with plenty graft and looking like the only back who might do anything.
Some tired legs, it's been a great season so far but I can imagine it's been a hard, pressure filled season for the players and staff. We need a spark. Some slight tinkering to freshen things up. Nothing drastic. Just someone on the fringes to get the engine ruining properly again and take us round this final lap in style.

Ok then we'll keep everything as it is. We'll keep playing the same way, same tactics, same players and settle for the Challenge Cup. I wonder if the Wigan team of the 80's did that. I'm not slagging the players off, I'm saying two or three are now starting to look spent. The season has been great whatever happens. But each to their own opinion.
