This might work better if you have a family together and all the passes can be scanned quickly by one person and then each individual enters the turnstiles separately.

This is not the way stewards were operating in the entrance we used.

They made us wait until the previous person had passed fully through the turnstile and the system asked us to scan our barcode.

This was about 40 minutes before kick off and a queue was forming due to the slowness of the system.

No last minute rush there.

The turnstyles I was at the Stewards were making everyone wait until the screen cleared which added even further to the 3-4 second pause before you could scan passes. So either not all the stewards are not fully upto speed on how the system works or the system has a flaw. I do suspect the system should be able to cope which immediate rescanning allowing a quick throughput and it merely wants a setting changing in the program to allow the screen to reset as soon as the person infront has scanned whether through turnstyle completely or not. If it can't then the SMC need to call the company back in and ask them why it is not fit for purpose.

I was at the usual turnstyles for my seat at 7.18pm and it took 25 mins to get through so I would not say that I turned up last minute either.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

25minutes queuing at turnstiles is not normal for a sports ground.

Me & my family/friends have done what we've always done for the past 13.5 seasons with no problems, arriving at the stadium 30/25mins or so before kick off. It's only the last 3/4home games we've ever had to queue for longer than 5mins.

This is what I've done pretty much since we moved to the KC, I've always got there between 7.15 & 7.30 and never had any issues until recently and last Friday was the worst.

Some people are idiots though while waiting with my friend outside east stand turnstiles near the footbridge for his son to arrive because he had his pass and was running late

I watched people merrily queue left round the stand towards south stand and another queue form right back along east stand there must of been 150 in each

the people didn't move from each queue when they got to the front? to go to turnstile 9 the one in the middle of three that was empty they stayed where they were ? (stewards didn't point out it was empty either?)

So after my friends son arrived we walked to the short queue in front of turnstile 9 and got in in 2 minutes no dramas no fights no oi your pushing in (because we wasn't ) just straight in easy

If one queue is full use the empty one just like post office or70s kids programme runaround for those old enough to remember

That's how we got in too. I thought I was pushing in so I felt bad for a few seconds before I realised that stupid is as stupid does.

Queues half way round the ground today for city's game, apparently.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I consider myself a fan of technology, but I struggle to see what the SMC have gained from these automated turnstyles, they employ just as many stewards to watch the turnstyles and sort problems as they did when they were manned and sat there ripping your tickets up and saying 'thanks' its one of many reasons why both FC and City's crowds aren't what they could be.

When I was queueing for turnstiles 23-26 v Wigan, some guy at the front had a pass/ticket that wouldn't scan. After a steward tried to "help" him by doing exactly what the guy was doing, the steward then had to wait for his supervisor. It took a little while before the supervisor appeared and they then proceeded to have a discussion about what the problem was. All this time they held up the rest of the queue and wouldn't allow anybody else to at least try and use the turnstile scanner which would have both eliminated whether the turnstile scanner or pass/ticket was at fault and allowed others to enter the ground. Sadly there seems to be a lack of common sense among the stewards apart from the technical issues with the scanners themselves.

Hull KR Chairman Neil Hudgell, August 26th, 2014 said..

"In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over. Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief."
