For me, Brough offers nothing that we don't already have from Sneyd, who's 8(?) years younger? 34 is pretty old for a back, and we've seen with Leon this year that age can take it's toll.
He wouldn't be cheap, he has a deal at the Giants until the end of 2018 I believe, as part of the big 5-year deal he signed. He wouldn't leave that to take a pay cut surely?
He's petulant and loses his head on the pitch, do we need characters like that around a club that has invested so much time into building the right ethos and attitude? When the going gets tough our lads it step up, when the going gets tough at Hudds, Brough loses his cool and his influence along with it.
All that said, it's my 10pence worth from sitting in the stands as a fan. If Radford & Motu feel he's the right man for us and sign him, I trust their judgement as they've got it pretty much bang on so far.

He's been gash all year and seems to be getting more petulant as he gets older. Not sure if it's been through frustation at the team or himself for not being able to pull stuff off like he used to.But he should of had 8 for snapping Caton brown's knee in the seasons worst cannon ball tackle and should of had same for deliberate elbow strike to logan tomkins face who was on his back on the floor You can keep that poop thanks

I feel the same way. Hes a great player but he is a loose cannon. Our team spirit just won us our first Wembley final. It'd be daft to throw that away.
Also, who would we get rid of to get him under the cap? We've been told we're maxed out and that Pearson won't pay off anymore contracts. Unless we have left some room for a late capture (which I wouldn't rule out) then we just can't have him without offloading a bunch of players on loans.

Radford,Ellis & co would be able to make him stay cool headed, if we could get him for free it would be good business.

Benefits count on the cap too, which is what Salford got done for, and he isn't likely to move for less £ than his two remaining years at Hudds on what will be a decent contract.
That leaves moving people. Who and how? Paying players off would negate the point you were made about him being free. Send players out on loan? Again who, and would it create enough space?

Sometimes players come available for whatever reason, When a club wants that player they make it happen one way or another, we nearly had him 2 years ago but his age made AP not cough up what Davy wanted, like I say it's only a small chance, hudds will have to be relegated & the club will have to juggle some players/finances, but it's a long shot but speak to Radders & co & he's a player he's wanted for a while, he has a good relationship with Broughy & he could manage him. We could probably not sign yeamo & lose a player or 2 & it's as easy as that.

So does Radford have confidence in Carlos or not? If he's interested in signing Brough, then he can't be completely confident that he is the right man for the job, despite publicly stating he thought he was.
