still not sure about carlos but am prepared to give him more time, think conner will push him next year and abdull is still the most natural ball handler we have ,just need to get him 100% fit

I can't really believe we found a way to lose that game. it should have been over by half time buy we completely failed to turn chances and field position into points and then seemed to hit the wall and a self destruct button in that last 20 minutes. radford got his interchanges wrong IMO and should have taken watts and taylor off and finished the game with green and bowden plus brought on pritchard in that last 10 (unless he was injured). We were hamemring them on their left hand side for the first hour then stopped bothering with that side which seemed dumb. I think there were still some tired legs from wembley in that last 20 minutes which is why we should have rested more last week IMO.
manu ran his blood to water tonight and I thought watts did well other than a couple of brain farts. taylor looks really fatigued though.
tuimavave really doesn't look like the answer at 6 and as soon as sneyd isn't at his best we really struggle to break sides down.
All told, if we'd taken our chances we'd have won. I had no real complaints about the ref and he wasn't the reason we lost. I'd be a lot more worried if we'd taken every chance we had and still lost.
Looks likely we'll finish 2nd now which may be no bad thing if we end up playing saints for a place in the GF

Whilst still thinking we should've had the game wrapped up after an hour, has anyone seen the ball steal from hadley, how the officials missed a 2 on 1 ball steal is a joke
It's laughable. Last week some of the young players who came into the side after celebrating the challenge cup win just as hard with the players who played got slagged off from pillar to post by some of the so called fans on here. Abdul and Naughton in particular. Two young exciting players which any Super League club would sign up tomorrow. But a lot of the users on here hammer some of the young players after one below average game just like they did with Jamie Shaul two years ago. Everyone of the players who played in the Challenge Cup Final will deservedly go down in Hull folklore. But if any of you think that Warrington, Wigan and Saints aren't now wise to the fact that we are a forward orientated team with only Shaul as the real flair player at the moment, you are all living in dream land. Let's inject some pace into the side for the run in. Whether it be Naughton, Lancaster or whoever. Give the other play off teams a new puzzle, because I can tell you now 100% they've solved this one.

A Hull team with Wigan's George Williams in it would have won tonight, that's why Carlos is wasted at 6, he doesn't have the running ability that Williams has

We couldn't work out who had "lost" the ball. Seen it this morning though and didn't look like a loss to me - he was on the ground on his back, tackled, and Gelling ambled up as second man in and just rips the ball out.

We seemed to run out of steam in the last 15 mins which isn't something that you normally see from us. Particularly when we'd had a lot of ball in good field position in the second half. Not too despondent as we should have won had we converted out first half chances but need to work on fluency with the ball.

Tough one to take but I can live with it. Still in a unbelievable position. One you would only dream of last season. Good to see this board is busy again as normal after a loss. The main reason we blew it last night to me was attacking their left side instead of right. Manu and fonua had the beating of their side yet we decided to go the other way were gelling had yeamo wrapped up all night. On the ref I do think he had to much a influence on the result although Tomkins was trying to help him out all night. On a side note thought the crowd was excellent last night. Wigans attack is boring the say the least, in fact their whole style of play is frustrating to watch. If the game was policed how it should be, to encourage fast PTBs and expansive play (I.e police the holding down and offside) Wigan would be mid table.
But you are not creative at all. That's your problem. Wigan are a horrible team who play constantly to the edge of the rules. Pretending they are allowed more leeway at the ruck is embarrassing.
