If Hudds went down, I'd look at Brough, Cudjoe or Mcgillvary.
Rovers I'd have Sio, but he will good back to the NRL.
Salford I'd look at Josh Jones.
hope your right but if we had cap space I think they may of tried to keep Michaels I think we are done unless we release someone, Tomo is the only player who might fancy moving on he is a decent earner and not making our 17 regularly I like him not advocating we should get rid but its a case of are we getting value and would Ross Osborne be at level where he could do just as good a job for a lot less money.
I guess its a balance between having a strong well paid pool of 18 to 20 senior pros and 12 to 15 good developing players behind them at different stages this is the balancing act the club must do that's probably why Michael's is going he has said as much himself the club have a couple of young lads they want to bring through (and there on a lot less money is the bit he can not say probs) I hope we can add further but I think we could be done this year still a very good squad for next year, hope to see the likes of Abdul, Logan, Fash, jansin having really good off seasons and pushing for the first team next year
I've heard similar regarding Justin Carney. Does anyone think if we have no cap space left then someone else could be leaving? The only thing I doubt about Carney signing is Thompson been at the club and the whole veto thing at the beginning of the season.

TO ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS, WE MUST NOT ONLY ACT, BUT ALSO DREAM; NOT ONLY PLAN, BUT ALSO BELIEVE

We have more going out than coming in currently. Admittedly there will have been a few improved contracts dished out, but Griffin and Connor won't be huge earners, whereas Pryce and Michaels will be on a wedge. Also Houghton gets a testimonial next year which will save a bit. Feka is going, Downs too, and I'm not sure if we paid anything to Whiting this year.
As for the other thing. Times a great healer, maybe feelings have softened a bit?

Just enlighten me how houghton having a testimonial saves a bit if anything he will cost more because he and Sneyd will be targeted for extensions which usually mean an increase in what is left on their current contract as well houghton certainly wants one according to Adam Pearson

Because once a player has done ten years with a club 50k of his salary becomes tax exempt does it not?

Yep, well, exempt from the salary cap, they'll still have to pay the tax man
In response to Wilf's post, it doesn't 'save' money as such, as the money is still being spent in their wages, the rule just means we effectively have an additional £50k salary cap to play with.
