Yep, based on his black and white background. Small-mindedness that played into our hands you might say.

In fairness Peacock has brought Rovers to Leeds' level in only a season ;)

"The decision to stand down Chris Chester was not easy or taken lightly, however as a club we intend to make a 'breakthrough' in Super League and unfortunately in order to do this one of the inevitable consequences is that there will be a number of 'break-frees' along the way," said Peacock.

"Going forward James will take up the position of interim head coach for the remainder of 2016. There are a number of reasons for this choice.

"Firstly, as James has captained the club, he fully understands that Hull Kingston Rovers is a hard-working, humble community club that regularly punches above its weight and that the performances of the team should represent that.

"Secondly, James' core assets are his outstanding technical and tactical knowledge. It is my belief that these properties will perfectly complement the staff and current playing group. With the significant financial backing of the club's owners, James has all the tools at his disposal to see an immediate upturn in the club's fortunes.

"We will confirm who the head coach of Hull Kingston Rovers will be for 2017 and beyond in due course. The start date for the new head coach will be at the beginning of pre-season as it's my firm belief that the most profound impact a head coach can have on a group of players is during these three months of preparation in which he can firmly embed his ethos, principles and systems into the squad."

I love this, but you seem to have missed 4 letters from the front of the highlighted word.

Peacock is not delivering, and I can't say I'm surprised.

Being a very good Rugby League player does not guarantee anything as a Head of Rugby.

Senior management would normally require a level of business acumen as we'll as Rugby Knowledge. I'm not saying you have to be Brain of Britain, as GH has proven at Leeds, but if things are going to happen we would expect to see some green shoots after a year in the role. Im afraid any green shoots have withered and died.

He said himself "itā€™s about developing a structure that runs right throughout the department thatā€™s consistent and holds people to account for what theyā€™ve said theyā€™re going to do.ā€
Well personally I hope they do stay up, I like the rivalry, but most of all I want to see what their new song is going to be.

But should they fail !!!! will Jamies words comeback to haunt him. Will the man who wants to hold people to account be held to account himself ?? He's called for consistency too, We may soon find out if Hudgell also is an advocate for accountability and consistency.

Some people like the sound of their own voice.
Weā€™ll see if actions speak louder than words, ā€¦.on both counts.
