Being a very good Rugby League player does not guarantee anything as a Head of Rugby.
Senior management would normally require a level of business acumen as we'll as Rugby Knowledge. I'm not saying you have to be Brain of Britain, as GH has proven at Leeds, but if things are going to happen we would expect to see some green shoots after a year in the role. Im afraid any green shoots have withered and died.
He said himself "it’s about developing a structure that runs right throughout the department that’s consistent and holds people to account for what they’ve said they’re going to do.” Well personally I hope they do stay up, I like the rivalry, but most of all I want to see what their new song is going to be.
