You call yourself a HFC supporter but you dont even know that Abdull is currently off contract at the end of this season. My post is about taking this team to the next level which an established six would do. Please reply if you have anything meaningful to say which i doubt.
That was my way of trying to point out that Abdull is off contract to posters who continue to state he could be our six next season. As for debate, there is none with you. You continually state your one single view regards Carlos, you wanted Yeamo dropping for Carlos to move to centre, a bit like the small child who continually shouts at the back of the room, until an adult takes notice. I don't call myself an HFC supporter, I am one and have been for a seriously long time, through all the lean years. I will continue to let Motu do the recruiting, which I believe, is finished for next season but heyho, we've been surprised before.

I think that's what I would be leaning towards, but I would also be going into preseason open minded about stand off, because Connor has the skill set to do we'll there too.

Prior to Friday -always a game that wasn't going to be pretty or easy to stand out in in an attack sense 1 of naughtons last games was v salford...He was hulls MOM. Against michaels he averages more metre per carry. Has a better try ratio. Makes more tackle busts. More breaks and He's 21 . Stats don't tell the full story. Michaels playing ahead of naughton right now is right. But I think it's an awfully dumb comment given the evidence.

Main faults with Naughton is he's gets caught out too much in defence and due to his size or lack of he gets pushed back too much when returning the ball due to lack of size and strength.

Naughton isn't going to return the ball like Talanoa, but he's faster and has years of improvement in him. A little to early to write him off IMO but his lack of size/power is a concern given how we use our wingers. I'm pretty sure the coaching staff are already aware of this though.
I'm not too concerned about his defence TBH. Our whole left edge was poor on Friday and he was left high and dry on several occasions by Talanoa. Assuming he plays on the right next season with Fonua inside him he should do a lot better and as mentioned he has plenty of time to improve.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One
Michaels is looking better at the minute because of game time, match fitness & confidence, but Naughton would be on par with him if he'd have played as many minutes, I see the club not retaining Micheals as a financial decision & none other, for his wage alone we can keep Naughton & improve some of the younger lads wages which in the future is better for the club, as a few was not going to resign unless improved contracts was on the table, smart move by motu & co imo.

You say 6 is more of a running game and Carlos has the right attributes to play a running 6 but have you seen him run the ball since he has been playing six? All he is doing is receiving and safe passing however his defence has improved since he arrived. We will get the best of Tuimavave back in the centre where he has more room to run and back up breaks. We need an established six to take this team to the next level. There is no point wishing and hoping Carlos will suddenly develop into a top 6 he wont. Whatever you say i still expect the club to sign an established 6 how and from where i dont know.
Don't know if we'll sign anyone but I agree with your sentiment. I think that we'll finish up with Connor at 6 and Carlos in the centre.

His averages are game to game better than michaels at 21 yrs old. And hes been unlucky. In at least 3 or 4 of his games theyve been among our worst as a team. He'll be fine and get better stronger bigger etc. I love michaels but I think naughton has more Xfactor about him and the potential to be much better.
naughton was excellent when he had a run in the side earlier in the season and was unlucky to lose his place to michaels. Naughton is unfortunate we have shaul as I think FB is his best position and he may decide to leave at some point to play there full time
