With it being widely reported that new owners could be about to take hold of Hull City, where would that leave the SMC and our usage of the stadium?

We don't just get a raw deal, Hull FC are actively discriminated against( food and drink prices are lower for football games, no betting for RL games within the stadium, the ridiculous situation of not being able to have the ticket office open on match days) at the moment, something I find difficult to think the owners of the stadium could not intervene with.

I reckon it could be a very difficult few months.

There was an article in the papers a few weeks ago where Hull City Council were expressing their surprise that the potential "new" owners hadn't been in touch with them regarding the ground and surrounding areas. They said they were more than willing to discuss future developments and ownership of the ground.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Hopefully there will be an oriental offering on the menu when they take over. I'm sick of pies and hot dogs

Im taking a things can only get better approach, with hopefully City and the KCOM Stadium itself getting a fresh start and we can all move on and look forward to bigger crowds for both clubs and better events such as concerts. Instead of the petty behaviour of the Allams which has dragged us all down over the last 5 years.

With the turnout yesterday and our success at the moment I would like to think crowds will be up, maybe get that other stand opened back up. Can only be good for our image in the eyes of the new football owners.

Clarky said yesterday that the amount of people who talked to him saying that yesterday was amazing but due to finances they couldnt go to Wembley, or go most weeks to the KC. However, if just 2-3k more people buy a pass next season, then thats approximately 500k more revenue and a higher number through the gates

Not sure quite what else the club can do in terms of pass affordability tbh. Games work out around £17 I think. And our price on the day is broadly in line with other clubs. Plus the club have been pro active in offers like friends for a fiver. Difference now vs a couple of years ago is the quality of rugby on offer for the same cost. I'd leverage the huge feelgood factor and get passes on sale now with good payment terms. Surely now the club has delivered some of the lapsed passholders will reciprocate?

I would agree its a case of now or never with the lapsed fans, however I do think the perception with some is that tickets are 'hard' to buy (with the changes to the ticket office in recent years) so some 'pay on the day' fans have stopped bothering. Maybe opening the shop late one night a week (with a later opening time) could help, as its hard for people who work to get to the shops between 9-5 on a weekday and they often close early on a Saturday due to City.

adam pearson was on talksport with adrian durham yesterday (most of the interview was not broadcast but can be found on durham's twitter feed). the main thing he seemed to be saying was for fans in hull to celebrate sporting success for the city as a whole which in his opinion (arguably rightly) has never been better. he mentioned luke campbell, city and FC, but not rovers. also spoke of the need for the football and rugby to work closely, so i wonder if this is the first public hint that he will be seeking to work alongside the new owners at City if the takeover occurs.

The referee's indecision is final
