In past experience, is this enough time take a brisk walk to the tube, or do we need to be doing a usaine bolt dw to the tube station? Past 3 visits to wembley have been on coach. Thanks in advance

Well, the actual tube journey is only ~20 minutes.... its the queues you need to worry about... the tfl planner website might be useful to plan some alternate routes from the various wembley stations... or even by bus https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/

They are brilliant at managing the Wembley way surge up to the tubes after the match. Means it moves pretty quickly despite the number of folk heading there.
Was really busy last year at three quarter time apparently.

I'm on the same train home, would have got a later one but it was really cheap compared to other times so it was a no brainier really. Personally I think it'll be close but should make it. It's the lifting of the cup (if we win) that will make us miss the train. So may have to cut that short if so.
"You don't have to be great to start, but to be great you have to start".
Tubes normally run every 5 minutes on the Metropolitain line, journey is 22mins give or take.
The longest bit is from leaving your seat to actually getting on the tube, 5 minutes just to get outside the stadium, then a few minutes walk around depending on where you are seated so by the time you've got onto the tube this could easily be 25-30 minutes plus add another 10 minutes at the other end from getting off the tube to getting onto the platform. The platform you'll be departing from is the 'new' platform 0 (zero), essentially where the old cab driver's lane was and is located at the Easternmost side of the station. So I would give yourself a good hour so you're not panicking/rushing HTH
If you haven't got the app, download it and get a code from a mate to get some free credit (£20 I think), or if you already have it do a search for credit codes.
Book a car whilst walking out of Wembley to a suitable pick up spot, £15-£20 (so potentially a free journey) to Kings Cross taking 15mins in air conditioned luxury.
