I go every year usually staying 2/3 nights as central as possible to make the most of the weekend.
Love the ritual of Challenge Cup Final day; seeing the first RL shirt when leaving the hotel; massive breakfast; getting the tube to Baker St; walking out at Baker St for a couple of beers and seeing hundreds of different shirts; back on a packed tube up to Wembley; wander up Wembley Way.
Notting Hill the day after too

We stayed in Watford in 2013, drank in London and got a late train back, just don't fall asleep!
I booked a hotel on Sunday for a friend. Holiday Inn Empire Way Wembley. Its next to Wembley Stadium. I got 1 room with two single beds for £155 for the night.

if you are still struggling for a hotel at a reasonable price have you heard of the airB@b website you can rent full apts or just a room in someone's home. we did it In Spain this year and it went well.
