We are one game away from one of the most important games in our history a game a game where we could finally get the Monkey off our back. Generations of Hull fans have been waiting for this moment. Sadly many will never get the chance to witness it.
We have the luxury of resting our key players and must give ourselves the best chance of victory. I would definitely rest Ellis, Houghton, Sneyd, Shaul, Taylor and Minichiello. How many times have we witnessed teams gamble on unfit players and suffered. Even with a weakened team we would still have a good chance of beating Catalans. Earlier in the season we rested lots of players against Warrington and won.
We have played ourselves into a position where it's almost certain we are going to finish in the top 4. Other than the kudos of finishing top and the financial rewards, which I'm not sure about, is it that important where we finish?. Our away form has been sensational so finishing 3rd or 4th will not be a massive disadvantage

Depends on Warrington and Wigan results this weekend for me. If Wigan lose to Cas tonight, then yes i would rest players as we will have a 2 point gap to them, and 1 point to Wire with them both to play at home - therefore Catalans can be used to rest players. If both of them win, then i would rotate the pack, Green and Bowden to start, Pritchard to start and just have them do 20 minute spells

Resting players scares me because there's a lot to be said for momentum and keeping match fit. I would personally only rest those that would benefit from the rest ie carrying knocks, rather that doing it for the hell of it. We are lucky in that we have a 9 day turnaround which will help massively.

It's a very tricky decision. I agree a Wigan loss this evening would make the decision a little easier. Whilst our away form has been superb we should still aim to finish in the top two. Anything else would be disappointing especially since we have been there since round 14 back in May.
It will be incredibly nerve wracking next week with every tackle but you have to hope our relative good fortune with fitness continues (vastly improved conditioning notwithstanding). Anyway, injuries can happen in training - or ask Shaun Briscoe about missing finals.

I would bring Washy back to play hooker and rest Danny Houghton Dean Hadley will get a full game to try and cement his place on the bench for Wembley and i would rest Sika Manu. Depending on this weekends results we may see several other changes to rest key players like Minichello.

No need to rest anyone. We are in for all three honours we should go all out against Catalan then to the CC .. I'd like to bet that if we rest players then lose the cup game it'll be "Radford Out" again

Not essential whatsoever. Apparently Sneyd turned his ankle in training. Do we stop training now until Wembley? No one need play with a knock otherwise let's keep the momentum going. Don't want any rustiness on the 27th after all.

I'd rest Ellis and Sneyd if he's not 100%,both too important to risk being without.
