Agree about the wingers, Lancaster has bulked up a bit this year, I've heard that Radford doesn't think he will make it, reckon Adlard has been given a full time contract to build himself up.
If there's one disappointment this year it's that we haven't been able to give many opportunities to these lads. After they did so well in the 8's last year I thought we'd see them really develop and play more regularly, but it hasn't happened. Hopefully now we are at the business end Radford will look to rotate a bit more and get a bit of game time for the likes of Turgut, Masi, Downs, Lancaster etc.
I'd love for the club to stage a first team v U23 friendly match next season. Would be a great chance for the fans to see the youngsters, get to know them more and see how they size up against the seniors.

Our relative luck with injuries has meant that younger players have had less of a chance this year as in previous years under Radford. The fact we have an under 23 team has mitigated and it's a good platform where they can develop. The fact we've had fewer injuries has obviously been a big contributor to our current position and it shows that its a fine line and balance between blooding youngsters and affecting the success of the team.

I don't see Lancaster making it in a team coached and picked by Radford. The kid has everything you want in a winger though, but because he doesn't make metres like Talanoa I don't think Radford will pick him. It's the same reason Radford wants Turgut to be a centre, it's all got to be about size.
