As most will know the Challenge cup final doesn't go to golden point and is instead Replayed. However I seem to remember them talking about introducing Golden Point to future Challenge Cup Finals. Did this ever happen?

No the replay date (if required) is already set for Tues 6th Sept 8 pm KO live on BBC2. Hopefully doesn't happen as it would screw any chance of a treble for either team
Cannot imagine all the hype and build up to a cup final for it not to be decided that day! Imagine travelling back knowing you have to do it all again, at a smaller ground with less chance of a ticket ! Get golden point introduced or extra time.

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Without a replay in the competition the world record for the highest attendance at a rl match would not have been held by a Yorkshire venue until beaten in 1999 in Australia, due to the construction of the Olympic Stadium for the 2000 games. (Capacity then 120,000, now around 85,000).
I went to the Wembley draw and the replay at Odsal in 1954. For me one of the most memorable days of my life. Warrington won.

I must say I do like the idea of the rematch, can create so much tension and buzz, you know two teams so good they are deadlocked, so good one game cant decide it.
Plus the chances of it happening are quite slim in RL anyway. You see a lot more drop goals these days than a few years back in my mind anyway, I mean ive seen games where teams are scoring 3-4 or so each as they trade them back and forward for the last 5 minutes, always an exciting end to the game. With Sneyd's ability we have that capability.
