The reason Connor and his agent are keeping quiet to me says it all. The fact that our club have issued a second statement referring to possible legal action seems to suggest they are trying to put pressure on the player but if he doesnt want to come now then its better to know at this stage. May be disappointing for some but i would rather spend any money we have on a 6

Not really, if hudds wanted to try and keep him they would still have offered him more money as they have.
I'm guessing that as long as the contract starts after his 22nd birthday we don't have to pay hudds. All contracts must be signed before they come into effect and presumably the one he has signed is now with the RFL who recognise him as a Hull player from next season. I reckon the compensation for players under 22 only takes effect if the contract starts before their 22nd birthday

It says nothing.
What? The one who signed the contract?
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the (Dark) Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
jools wrote:The thing is hudds have said the same all the way through- they believe a fee is payable if he signs a contract whilst he is 21. - hull keep changing their story in their "official statements" first of all he's definitely signed, then he's signed in principle subject to a medical at the end of the year, and he will sign after his birthday, next that medical took place last week and he has (again) signed. With all these changes in the statements it seems a bit odd don't you think? His agent was Iestyn Harris- now there's someone who doesn't understand contracts!
Iestyn Harris!? Well there you go , explains everything

No. I saw Eorl re-arrange his ponytail in good humour in response to chants of "he looks like a girl" though.
