Still don't think either club have done themselves any favours over the last week with how they've conducted themselves.
It will be interesting to see where Connor features. 50k is the rumoured amount you are paying him next year which suggests he's going to be playing regularly.

Not saying your wrong with that figure, but unless you have got that from Connor, his agent or Hull FC I'd take any salary related "rumour" with a large pinch of salt.

I don't recall is ever being underhand with wakey- in fact you've done quite well on us.
I dont recall us ever announcing a signing of one of your contracted players without your prior knowledge in this way- you often got something out of a deal as a club which ateotd Wakey didn't have to agree to.
For example for brough you got kirmond, korkidas back and a whole heap of cash.
for Daniel smith you got mullaley for the rest of the season.
For Ferguson you got cash.
for Murphy we paid a fee and you got kirmond and Raleigh in return. - you could argue you got the better deal there.
I can only think there's grix we didn't pay you for- but since hed been at a million different clubs prior to that I can't imagine it was that big a deal.
So not really anything to do with loyalty seeing as Wakefield agreed to do business and got something back in return.

The real issue here is why connor doesn't want to stay where he is. hudds and their fans need to take a look at themselves before criticising our club

It's simple- Money talks - we have offered him more than the club has ever offered any other kid his age - you have offered him more.

Not really. Your offer has presumably been on the table for some time but he didn;t want to sign. Hull only became aware of his availability recently when, presumably, his agent started hawking him around.

I doubt we've offered him the reported £50k as we've just let one of our own young halves walk away when he wanted £14k but we only valued him at £12k

The concern for me is when you read the Huddersfield forum comments on him whether they are positive or negative what does come to light is his lack of pace.

Radders say he likes him with ball in hand, and he hits big in defence. Hrs done well against us and when he's been watched. So I'd say the home work has been done.

If a player says he wants to come to us and we want him its a no brainer he'll wait if he has to, but as a club you then have to make sure you do it by the rules and if you officially announce it the player is committed to the move whatever. The last paragraph says it all for me!

Typical of him unfortunately. Writes a load of negative nonsense; attracts the challenge his nonsense deserves; b!tches & moans about the replies he gets; gets put right by other posters; does a disappearing act. The sad thing is, I think he has a point worthy of discussion re our youth coming through. He just puts it across in a terribly negative way that people don't want to engage.

I have had far more important things than read this type of tripe, I said what wanted to, whatever your and others responses may be, my asking of a simple question/bringing up a valid point was met by ridiculous OTT bully posting typical of the usual idiots on this forum including yourself.

We already have an average defending/good attacking bulky type centre signed up in Griffin, it also stunts our youngsters coming through, signings like this I don't agree with, you have your opinion but choose to react like a child same as EastHullfc, you and your ilk can't help reacting like complete keyboard monkey's, :MOON:

You really don't get it, do you? Did you read my previous response to you?

People will engage with genuine debate, not questions/point loaded with negative bile. It's right that sort of thing is challenged.

Now you've presumably read Thewlis' comments on Connor, are you still of the opinion he's a 'castoff' with 'no pedigree'?

Also, calling someone a bully and then calling them names is slightly hypocritical don't you think. :D
