It's a gamble on both parts though, what if he has a great finish to the season and demands more money or another club come in for him or what if he gets a career threatening injury and Hull pull out of the deal.

Motu & lugs should listen to knockybumps before recruiting save us looking stupid when these signings fail to deliver, we maybe should have kept crooks & sacked lugs!
Hmm, this has certainly changed my mind about this situation. I was under the impression this was agreed by hudds but it's seems not. A nasty way to go about things by the hull board. You've either signed him without agreement with our club and so will have to pay a fee- or you haven't actually signed him in which case the timing of the announcement this week With the Huddersfield club in mourning following the death of a young player is a pretty low blow. If you haven't yet signed him then there was absolutely no need to announce it this weekend- the day funeral announcements were made. Seems almost calculated. Not least Connor agreeing to this announcement himself who at 21 will have played alongside many of the players who are completely devastated by the loss of a teammate. If that's the size of his ego then I've changed my mind and I'm glad he's going.

Players move on all the time, it is so sad about Ronin Costello we had a minutes applause before our game with oulton yesterday, don't come on here trying the guilt trip, hudds players don't seem to bothered about Baloo getting the boot, your club badly timed that eh?

Yet your club choose to sack your coach in the same week, it's awful what happened to the young lad, but you can't stop everything in the game, I can't believe you are using the death of a young kid to suggest that Jake or the club have done anything wrong. Using words like calculated is really poor and I think it shows your true character. How long do you leave making any announcement about any Huddesfield player? But is it ok for your club to sack a coach that will have been involved in his development.

Using the death of a young player to criticise Hull or Jake Connor is very poor.

No it's not- and I said that at the time and since. One poor decision doesn't justify another.
