Simply not good enough. The focus will be on the missed penalty from Richards, but that masks the fact we weren't good enough. We had that won twice and couldn't kill it off. In truth, that's been coming. We've underperformed for a few weeks and while we got away with it v Hudds, Wakey weren't going to be shaken off. Maybe it's the kick up the backside we needed - hope so. Mind you, if you're going to lose a game, a 50m drop-goal is a fair enough way to do so.

I have waited until today to comment ,because of the despair I felt yesterday.Ihave not watched the video replay. This was the dragons of old,who could never close down a winning position. We were excellent for the first 30 minutes, but Duport spilled an easy pass and seemed to me to compound this with his usual gormlessness and Wakefield were back in the game.Incidentally I forecast last February that Richards would not get a pass from Duport all season and so far he has not.Once again we lost a close game where we scored more tries than our opponents. The management needs to explain why Da Costa was in the 17 ,but did not get on . We desperately needed another prop and Maria should have been chosen. Marks out of 10 Gigot 6 Broughton 8 Horo 7 Duport 4-a good try ,but he plays like a forward not a centre, Richards 5-His too long kick at the start of the second half was another nail in our coffin ,Carney 8 Bosc 7 Casty 7 Pelissier 6-exhausted well before the end-Taylor 5-injured?- Anderson 8 Stewart 7 Baitieri 8-------Bench-Mason 6 Bousquet 7 Mounis 7 Da Costa-not used I think. All the players were sitting beside me watching the Hull K.R. match. With both Campese and Kelly they will be a formidable test.We have no one to blame but ourselves. Congratulation to a palpably inferior team for beating us.
