We can't go into the weekend expecting a win. That's a dangerous mentality to have. However, I'm confident that the team are fully focused and we will put on a professional showing. If we perform as we did against Wigan and Saints, there's no reason why we couldn't hit 40/50.

On paper it should be a pretty comfortable win for you but this year has thrown up some strange results, problem we have is that we are making too many errors at the moment, if we give you the ball too easily then we lose by a lot. If we can control the ball a bit and get a decent kicking game working then it will be a lot closer.

On the subject of 'cup finals' I think Radford has instilled a sense of more than just another game in Hull that was missing under the previous 3 coaches. We had that in spades under Morgan but it was lacking under Chester. We can all say that it doesn't matter and its only another 2 points but it always hurts that bit more to lose to the old enemy and have to face friends that are waiting to have a dig.

I will agree though that although the 2 points are more vital to us there is still less pressure on us due to the fact that no one really gives us a chance.

I fully expect Thornley and Clarkson to come back in but if he plays Campese, fit or not then he needs his bumps testing.

campese is your best player and if he's fit why wouldn't he play? He'll get the same treatment whenever he next plays so there's no point in leaving him out. Would be a big boost to the rest of your players and would be a potential match winner for you.

Although we've been winning, we've also been guilty of taking a decent lead then letting teams back into the game in pretty much all of our recent matches. It hasn't come back to bite us yet but will at some point. It could also be pishing it down on Sunday which will be a real leveller and last time we played in such conditions we lost to leeds.

I can understand rovers fans trying to play down their chances to make themselves feel better if we hammer them but the reality is much different

Campese has been brought back too early twice this year, both times he was a week or 2 earlier than predicted so for me I'd wait until the Wakey game and give him a few long training sessions in his legs first rather than playing against a big side like yourselves or Catalan.

I'm not down playing our chances, I've seen us win against you when we had no right and lose nailed on wins but form and general RL knowledge says you have the better team and should win relatively easily. Winning (and losing) is a habit and you've won games that in recent times you would have lost, so even if we take an early lead it wont hurt your team spirit, stranger things have happened but I'd be more confident taking the 125-1 on a 50+ loss than backing a Rovers win.

These are exactly the type of games in previous seasons we have failed to win. This season the club seems to have a much different attitude and again much like the St's and Wigan games recently the game this weekend will show how far we have come.

I'm confident of a win, but not expecting it to be a walk in the park, it will be no doubt another tough game.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I'd like to think as well they'd like to right some of the wrongs from the first 60 mins of thr good Friday game. That, couple with the hammering at Widnes seem like real turning points in our attitude/fortunes/effort (call it what you like), and I'm sure whoever makes the squad won't want a repeat of that.

I would tend to agree that the anticipation of a derby is not as it was due to us playing a minimum of 3 times every season (wasn't it the case on a couple of season we have played 4 times???).

That said, I personally love the build up to a derby and I have been around the block too long to take anything for granted.

as a matter of interest which derbies have you felt confident on?

What bothers me is Garry Schofield tipping FC to win by 24 in League Express!!
